We had our organizational meeting at 4pm on August 15, 2006 at the Paron AR. masonic lodge. This was in fact the first time most of us had even met. Tommy Gossett (Navigator) led the meeting, and with his guiding hand we got to know each other, and commenced with electing officers for our little "Band of Brothers". We were so small in number that damn near everyone there was elected or appointed to some office or post. "Painter Bob" Haynie volunteered to run for President, and was elected, all yea, and no nay. Tony Sivewright got the evil eye from Navigator to run for Vice.... I don't even know if we voted... Tony, needless to say is now Veep. Tommy Gossett reluctantly volunteered to be Secretary/Treasurer, and at the time he was what we needed in those slots. He was hands down the favorite. Cody Teague aka "Roid" was awarded Sergeant at Arms by a coin toss, And Adam Robinson was elected as Guardian of Membership. Lance(Flycatcher)Baker and Steve(Muffman)Adams were made Road Captains.

We had a motion, discussion and second on the name of our chapter. It was to be the Small Stone Tribe of the Widows Sons. Carried.

We discussed the 9/9/06 bike show on Mt Magazine, and decided to meet on the 2nd Saturday of each month with our first stated being on 8/12/06 at 3pm at Trinity Lodge, Little Rock.

June 29, 2006. One year update: The Ruffians Chapter has grown from nothing to being the largest chapter of the Widows Sons in Arkansas. This growth has had it share of tough spots, but has also had it's high points. We are at 18 now in our membership, and steadily growing.
We have rode on several charity rides this past year to benefit those in need and those less fortunate than ourselves. We raised much needed money for a nameless charity in time for 2006 Christmas, and supported the volunteer fire departments' charity runs around central Arkansas. We as a group have met many new faces, and made some new friends.
Our saddest misfortune this past year was the loss of Brother Ruffian Dick Collins this spring. He will be missed.
Our goals for the coming year are steady growth with a continuing emphasis on meeting new people to spread the word about the Widows Sons.

Ain't we a thing of beauty?
